Personal Skills

I can use my own initiative within situations that may arise; I am comfortable in being able to make the decision to complete any tasks which without require the need to be prompted.

I have gained transferable skills through both practice and education, and always put these into practice in both my daily life and also within the work environment.

I am a good team player who actively contributes to ideas and demonstrates commitments to others as well as being able to work on an individual basis also. I have good communication skills and I am not afraid of criticism and always happy to take on board new ideas.

I am keen to learn new skills and a new pathway.

Development

In this ever-changing environment, I would appreciate and be grateful of the opportunity to be considered for a position within your Company where it would afford myself to grow and develop new skills. I would welcome any new challenges and which a new role may require.

I believe that I have demonstrated and shown commitment, loyalty and reliability when working in my role as a Production Maintenance Engineer for over 16 years.

Significant Achievement

In 2005 I was part of the regeneration programme to design and plan Airdrie Skate Park which is a great passion of mine.

I attended meetings to discuss and plan the benefits of the park and the risks around for other young people with less experience in skating.

In working in partnership with Health and Safety and construction engineers, police, and Emergency services we were able to develop a safe area for young people who still today use this venue.
