My role as RCL is to maintain the staffing levels on the shopfloor to the correct levels and to make sure everybody is safe, trained and capable to fulfil the role they are undertaking on a day to day basis.

  • Roles completed
  • Machine operation – To operate autonomous machinery to drive and exceed KPI’s and work in a 5S lean standard zone.
  • Logistics – Working with an brand new autonomous palletizer system to drive the production of 5 lines continually producing over 800 FG pallets a shift. I also operated the FLT’s to dispatch FG goods onto outbound trailers.
  • Laboratory – Duties included, sampling FG’s to make sure crisp were meeting the required levels of flavoring. Testing the oil of the crisps, and daily testing of the factorys weighing equipment ensuring that we were keeping in line of any legal requirements.
  • Shift Administrator – I was responsible for an LGAT system which was used to accurately record an FLE’s place of work and cost them to the correct cost center to measure how well a department has performed financially. Process any FLE’s holidays and to provide shift paperwork to the whole factory.
  • Performance coordinator cover – My duties included to drive performance using SIC meetings as a tool to monitor and drive production.
  • Covid crisis support (April 2020 – Dec 2020) – During the beginning of the pandemic my role was to actively manage the situation in the factory ensuring that we kept all lines running when we were hitting absence levels of 30-40%
  • Crewing coordinator secondment (Dec 2020 to March 2022) – After the support role I was offered an opportunity to be seconded as the crewing coordinator, my main focus was on getting shift absence levels under 5% and short term absence under 2% which I achieved continuously
