  • Moved from a Contractor to a permanent position in the council, I was the 4th line contact for any voice related faults.
  • As well as being the final point of contact for Voice related issues, I also designed and implement voice related projects from start to finish.

  • We also merged the Police/Council to one Voice network with big savings and significant improvements for the users, office staff in the Police could then Hot desk and work from home.
  • I dealt with third party contractors and worked with BT on the ISDN to SIP migration.
  • I worked with my manager on the point scoring and awarding of the Voice Mitel Contract at the council, updating what was needed and what wasn’t, with a saving of £200K +.
  • Worked on phase 1 of the Skype For Business voice roll out where we were implementing Skype headsets and Polycomm handsets in the council Libraries, apart from the cost savings we are also decommissioned old Phone systems to save on support, these included Panasonic and Toshiba.
