In my role of operations manager I receive my orders from the CEO of the Fox group.

my daily tasks include but not limited to overseeing daily operations of 3 recycle yards and 2 landfill sites ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

In the Group I also have the responsibility to run and over see a company called JA JACKSONS in Preston.

Within this company we have 30 operational staff in the quarries and landfill sites , 14 wagon drivers and 9 office staff.

It is my responsibility to ensure all these departments work in unison with other companies in the group.

Last year under my guidance we recycled over 250 thousand tons of waste soils and stones and tipped 300 thousand tons into the landfill sites.

When I started at Ruttles I was tasked in starting a recycle yard for the company to compliment he 40 tipper trucks we had on the road.

within the first 12 months I was turning over a profit of 52% on 1.8 million revenue.

After 3 years I persuaded the company owners to make the biggest purchase in there 80 year history of a 150 ton per hour recycled wash plant at 3million pounds where I was instrumental in the buying, building and running of the plant,

Along side of this I gained the title of operations manager helping to run the earth works division and all aspects of operations form landfill and quarry's.

In this role I would receive tenders, advice the pricing team on what was needed and communicate with the client from cradle to grave on there projects.

I only had the 2 company owners of the company to answer too as I was trusted to run the daily facilities of the company.

• This was my first mangers role where I was integral in the company purchasing a recycled wash plant producing waste products into re-usable sellable product.

• just so I could gain supervisor experience I took this job over 35 miles away from home and travelled every day where I Supervised daily operations within yard to ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures.

• started Forshaw's recycle yard producing thousand's of tons of concrete waste into sellable recycled products
• separating and stripping all types of scrap eg, ferrous and non ferrous and loading into skips

• Operated machinery and equipment in the recycle yard making al grades of top soil and recycled aggregates.
• Monitored all aspects of the machinery and reporting and faults or breakdowns to the workshop
• Collaborated with team members to optimise workflow and enhance operational efficiency.

Started at 15 digging out and maintaining crushers and screeners, Assisting the fitters with servicing and breakdowns, moving onto the tractors then at 17 I moved up to operate machinery and equipment to extract materials from the quarry and processing the material into various sellable products.

Monitored equipment performance to ensure proper functioning and safety.

Followed safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a secure working environment.

loading the products onto wagons ready for transportation to customers sites.

Collaborated closely with other operators for smooth functioning of the quarry site.
