• Field based role which involves some project management and a lot of travelling between sites with an emphasis on communication and administrative skills
• Responsible for the successful deployment of Hyperoptic FTTP service to over 30 New build housing sites across Scotland

Duties include

• Managing and forecasting workload
• Ensuring quality compliance by build partners/sub contractors
• Managing on site health and safety requirements
• Meeting and liaising with site management and other business stakeholders
• Ordering of material and managing stock
• Covering managerial duties when required
• Conducting thorough equipment inspections
• Helping implement Standard Operating Procedures
• Involvement in business transformation and change projects
• Enforcing compliance with all health and safety measures, reducing worksite risks.
• Supporting management decision-making with expert-level technical guidance.
• Involved in the end to end process of design and conception throughout to the completion of sites.

• Begun working here as an apprentice, spending years honing my skills and progressing through the company ranks to the role of Foreman.
• Worked in a number of different environments and major projects - building sites, live offices, schools, hospitals, shipyards and MoD bases. Health and safety was paramount due to the nature of the environments to ensure everyone got home safe.
• SSSTS accredited in order to be the responsible person for on site safety

Duties included

• Installation of structured cabling systems including copper and fibre infrastructure.
• Terminating and testing of copper and fibre cabling.
• Installation of fire alarm cabling and devices.
• Liaising with site managers and different trades to ensure safe working practices were maintained
• Acting as foreman and demonstrating best practices
• Training and mentorship of colleagues and apprentices
• Ordering materials and forecasting labour requirements
• Travelling nationally and working/staying away when required.
