My main role is to provide training, assessment and evaluation of International nurses (overseas trained nurses) for OSCE examinations to gain Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) registration in UK.

I hold a dual Nursing Registration (Adult and Mental Health) in Nursing and Midwifery Council UK.

I trained nurses on various clinical skills for Adult nursing registration and Mental health nursing registration.

  • Involved in recruitment process of International Nurses – Member of Trust Interview panel, preparation of induction package for training and adaptation.
  • Training International nurses on ward to achieve clinical competencies for practice in various wards.
  • Support newly appointed international nurses to continue professional development.
  • Provide support, educational input and development activities for staff and students within practice learning environments and contribute to the development of pre-registration and post-registration education programs - reflecting the needs of the future nursing/midwifery workforce.
  • Support nurses through re-validation, preceptorship, international nurse facilitation, and nurse recruitment.

  • Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care needs. Prepare relevant nursing care plan as per individual patient needs

  • Referrals to services like Tissue Viability Nurse (TVN), diabetic specialist care, podiatry, Mental Health review, Dietitian and Speech and Language Therapy (SALT).
  • Assess patient needs, provide appropriate care based on patients best interest following Capacity assessment.
  • Communicate with patient, family and multidisciplinary team about patient care as required.
  • Assessment of skin and appropriate wound dressing.
