I am a reliable maintenance engineer with production industry experience I have comprehensive knowledge of conveyor systems, hydraulic and pneumatic systems and ELV electrical control circuits, in the past I have supervised the assembly and commissioning of large material handling equipment in cement plants, power stations and shipping ports and terminals most recently I have been working on the HS2 rail project for Tarmac as a multiskilled maintenance engineer covering four sites around the west midlands, and prior to working at Tarmac I worked for Liebherr for seven years installing and commissioning concrete batching plants around the UK and Ireland.

HS2 Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer

TARMAC Multi skilled maintenance engineer covering four of the HS2 Rail Project Concrete production sites in the West Midlands I was responsible for carrying out planned maintenance shutdowns and attending breakdowns, I carried out mechanical and electrical repairs daily this includes replacing wear parts replacing worn and damaged components, this would include pumps, motors, bearings, bushes, hoses hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, I am also responsible for carry out minor welding and fabrication repair across the sites.

  • Carrying out the installation and commissioning of concrete batching plants around the UK and Ireland I would be responsible for overseeing the complete installation and commissioning of the concrete plants this would involve working with heavy lifting equipment and planning lifting operations on site.
  • I was also responsible for writing detailed risk Assessments and method statements these would be used to plan the installation and heavy lifting operations.
  • Provided technical support to troubleshoot, repair and maintain operational issues.
  • During my time at Liebherr I also spent time dealing with customers directly, advising on spare parts and sales and supporting planned maintenance shutdowns.

  • My role was to supervise the mechanical and electrical installation and commissioning of large bulk material handling equipment this equipment would include ship loaders, stacker reclaimers and heavy-duty conveyor systems in seaports, power stations, steelworks and mines and quarries, during my time at Samson I gained a lot of experience in hydraulic and pneumatic systems I was responsible for the hydraulic installations on the ship loaders and stacker reclaimers I would install the hydraulic circuits using hydraulic schematics and diagrams and I would install and test all of the hydraulic circuits from the power pack to the moving components During my time at Samson I worked in over 50 countries around the world I left Samson due to family commitments at home and no longer being available to be away from home for long periods of time.
