I served in Gloucestershire Constabulary for 32 years, concluding my career as an Inspector leading the Duty Planning Unit for over four years. During my service, I worked both within Uniform and Criminal Investigation roles. I spent extended times working within Neighbourhood Policing cultivating positive experiences working with community partners, both statutory and voluntary.
I understand the importance of working with partners, to share our resources, experiences and talents to best deliver our own and shared goals. I held those with responsibilities to account and ensured that my teams were equally committed.
As a Cheltenham resident I want to be able to play my part in making where I live, a safer and pleasant environment, of which I can be proud and of and celebrate.
I worked extensively across the organisation. I led as a Sergeant and Inspector Neighbourhood Community Teams, in Cirencester, Stow-on-the-Wold, Gloucester and Cheltenham (as the Neighbourhood Inspector during the COVID outbreak of 2020). I have also worked within Child and Public Protection on several occasions as a Detective and Detective Sergeant, allowing me to contribute to protecting vulnerable young people and making generational changes.
I am proud of my work, building and developing relationships with Statutory and Voluntary sector partners to make our communities safer and to deliver sustainable solutions, sharing resources and celebrating our successes.
