I have also provided training and awareness to secondary school and university students in the Humberside force area.

  • Developed action plans, led to more efficient deployment of resources during investigations.
  • Assessed threat, harm and risk from intelligence reports and selected management or dissemination options.
  • Planned and implemented criminal investigations to solve assigned cases.

  • Stayed up-to-date on the latest laws, procedures and investigation best practices through training.
  • Directed investigators and other law enforcement personnel at crime scenes.
  • Cultivated relationships with external agencies, schools and social service organisations.

Catering manager

London , London

  • I moved to London from East Yorkshire in October 1990 to take up a role as a trainee manger for the Davy's of London Wine Bar chain.
  • I was promoted to manager of a bar called the City F.O.B in April 1991 and remained as a manager of the company until 1996.
  • I then left to pursue other opportunities with Bass in two of their themed concepts. I then moved to work for an independent operator in a village pub in West Sussex.
  • In 2000 I took up a role creating what was promised to be a new chain of coffee shops in Hertfordshire. The promises never really materialised and while I helped create two very popular coffee shops in Hertfordshire the promised chain never materialised so I looked to move out of catering into a profession and career I could be proud of. In July 2005 I left catering for good to join the Metropolitan Police.

Voluntary Worker

Beverley Braves Rugby League Club
Beverley, East Riding of Yorkshire
02.2018 - Current

I am a passionate follower of Rugby League. I played as a young person before moving to London. I have supported passionately Hull Rugby League Club since the age of 6.

That passion for the sport saw me become involved with a amateur club on my return to Beverley.

Initially (2018) I started coaching the u6s and continued to coach them until 2023. In that time I joined the clubs committee as club treasurer utilising my financial skills. Then in January 2025 I was voted by the members to the role of Chairman of the club. I now oversee all aspects of the club on a voluntary basis.

This allows me to give back to the sport I love, but also the community that I am proud to be part of.
