Gas and Heating service engineer confident at installing, maintaining and repairing a wide range of heating systems. Ensuring appropriate methods and equipment are used to conduct high-quality work. With a friendly and positive mindset and strong communication skills, I have many years of hands on experience as well as being organised and dependable, I can successfully manage multiple priorities with a positive attitude. and willing to take on greater responsibilities to meet team goals.

My current day to day duties include natural gas and LPG repairs and servicing in the social housing sector (Saxon Weald) working alongside the fleet manager to carry out van inspections, to ensure the other engineers all have the correct tools and PPE to carry out their day to day duties.

My role as a plumbing and gas engineer is to carry out installations and servicing of all gas and plumbing systems such as boilers, HIU units, vented and unvented water systems. I often implement my problem solving skills when faced with unexcepted issues, adjusting work days when needed to ensure swift resolutions - allowing me to maintain a manageable work flow, while ensuring full compliance with health and safety standards. Alongside this i would attend and deal with tenants complaints and compliments within the plumbing and gas team.

I started my career in social housing with Worthing Homes in March 2010, as a carpentry/ maintenance apprentice. I then went on the develop myself further by undertaking a second apprenticeship in Plumbing and Heating. At the end of 2015, i secured a new job role as a Home space empty homes coordinator.

My job as a coordinator would be to manage two small teams of 6 internally and multiple external contractors, to ensure seamless project execution. Collaborating across departments for strategic planning purposes managing logistics, resulting in smooth operations. I held weekly one to one meetings and quarterly reviews within the team - with general check ins when needed.
