Ensured all events and the Pre and Post staffing requirements were correctly staffed and within budget

Booked all staff including those on our books and liaised with agencies to ensure requirements were correct

Recruited staff and ensured compliant with right to work

HR point of contact for all of our staff

Ensured the Team had all relevant documentation for the staff due in and necessary Health and safety documents for that days event

Weekly Payroll was completed.

Whilst Carrying Out this role I also Assisted in the Front of House As and when Required/

Deputy Operations Manager

As the Deputy Operations Manager I played a key part in supporting the Overall Operations of the Running of events, and enabling they ran smoothly and efficiently.

During My time in this role, I gained Valuable experience, and covered many different roles. My responsibilities Included:

  • Assisting with the coordination and execution of events, ensuring all logistical aspects are well-managed.
  • Supporting the Operations Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the company.
  • Been in Charge of the Liquor operations, Ordering for upcoming events , managing the online ordering system for pre booked beverage for tables and carrying out full weekly Stock Counts.
  • Ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction by providing excellent service and promptly addressing any concerns or issues.
  • Implementation and launch of the Compass Group Silver Standard, our health and safety system, across multiple venues including Leith's at the EICC, Edinburgh Zoo, and the SECC.
  • Managing health and safety at Leith's for 10 years, ensuring compliance and creating a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Assisting with the opening of the Millennium Dome, which was becoming the O2 Arena, in London. Working at Stirling Castle, and Providing assistance at the SEC for large events
  • Working on some of the biggest events in Edinburgh, including dinners for high-profile individuals such as George Clooney, Barack Obama, and Michelle Obama, as well as large charity events.

My time as the Assistant Operations Manager at Leith's at the EICC was instrumental in developing my skills in event running, time management, collaboration, and creative problem-solving. I am confident in my ability to contribute to the success of any organization in a similar capacity.
