I returned to education as a mature student, completing access courses and gaining a place at the University of Leeds. After completing my undergraduate degree, I was awarded a scholarship to study a Master’s degree. It was here I developed a passion for research and data collection and using data to create a picture of the world. I worked in the environmental sector for a few years, but it was in research and assessment where my passion was.
I gained employment with West Yorkshire Police as an intelligence analyst within their Professional Standards and Anti-Corruption department. Working within policy and regulations, I was responsible for turning anonymous intelligence into actionable information, to improve internal working practices and preserve the integrity and reputation of the organisation.
For the last four years I have worked for the National Crime Agency as an intelligence supervisor. I lead a small team in the Professional Standards Unit, responsible for assessing anonymous reports in relation to policy breaches and unprofessional and illegal conduct.
I have included the last 10 years work experience. I can provide a full history on request.
