Legal Engagement and Networking

  • Attended Guest Lecture - 'AI and the Future of Law' by Professor Richard Susskind at the University of Salford.

This lecture enabled me to gain insight into the impact that Artificial Intelligence (AI) has on the legal profession, with a central focus on innovation, ethics and the evolution of AI as a supportive technology throughout law firms and legal staff. It further helped me understand that AI, as positive as it may seem, can also be detrimental due to certain individuals over-reliance on such advanced technology.

  • Attended 'Women in Law' Conference at Irwin Mitchell LLP, Manchester on the 6th March 2025

Here, I both listened to and engaged in discussions around gender equality in the legal profession, career progression for women in law and the different types of legal careers that are available to women. I heard first-hand accounts from women in senior legal roles who shared their personal career journeys, challenges and successes, which allowed me to appreciate the resilience, ambition and navigation into the legal profession as a woman.
