Every so often I may go karting to improve my knowledge of what it feels like to be in control of a fast vehicle. I also tend to do the light jobs of mechanical repairs on my own family’s vehicles. As well as that, I also occasionally watch videos of Silverstone, which is my local track, and watch how the drivers navigate the track. This includes when the brake, when they accelerate and the best corner points to hit the apexes. Engineering requires a lot attention to detail and analysation, hence, transferrable skills I believe are necessary in any kind of industry. As an individual who enjoys analyzing data and materials, I believe that working in the motorsport industry with a team or business could help me to further develop these skills and use them in developing and improving my knowledge, understanding and involvement of motorsports, and help me to create an impact on the efficiency and quality of products and services across multiple motorsports.
