Poppy Smith

I provide children with a positive, happy and supportive environment during playtime activities while rotating between different rooms, caring for children aged 18 months old to pre-school. I interact with parents at both ends of the day providing valuable feedback on their children's experiences with us. I maintain a tidy work environment and practice safety and hygiene protocols, and ensure company policies, procedures and operational practices are followed. I change nappies, organise and oversee mealtimes and activities. I'm able to work confidently on my own and as part of a team.

I've been helping Hannah with her three children at weekends for over a year now. It's been lovely to look after them in their own home and environment. Due to the age range (2yrs - 6yrs) I'm continuously coming up with new games and forms of entertainment. Most of our time is spent outside in the garden. I've loved watching them grow and their personalities develop during this time.

This was a work experience opportunity to gain some valuable experience in a pre-school setting. I loved my short time here and wish I could have stayed longer.
