I am an enthusiastic Classteacher and Year Group Leader with a passion for making learning exciting and enjoyable, motivated by the belief that all children can be successful learners. I am skilled in working with diverse student classrooms and have more than 8 years of experience developing and implementing diverse curriculums covering a wide range of subjects. I pride myself on motivating children through positive encouragement and reinforcement of concepts via interactive classroom instruction and observation. I am successful in helping children develop strong literacy, numeracy, social and learning skills.
This role included providing feedback to staff after completing learning walks across the school and further to this, I co-presented parent workshops from EYFS to Year 6 to inform parents on how to best support their children in maths at home.
The academic year 2022/23 saw the introduction of a bulge year to Hazelwood Schools increasing the Reception Year from three classes to four. The necessary change in staff numbers has given me further experience of differing staffing arrangements which includes a trainee in my own class, an NQT and two members of staff on a job share.
I successfully completed a National Professional Qualification for Leading Teaching (NPQLT) course in January 2023.
