I am a operational Traffic officer, within the Dyfed Powys roads Policing Team, based in Cross hands, Carmarthenshire. my main task is to reduce crime by denying criminals the use of the roads, to be able to do this I have achieved a high level of skill and training, I have been a operational Police officer for the last 20 years.
I joined Dyfed Powys Police in September 2003 after attending initial officer training at Cwmbran Police training College, Since this time I have been a performing front line duties, firstly as a beat officer in the BCU, In both town main stations as well as rural section stations, and latterly as a Traffic officer in the RPU Unit.
I am currently trained to drive high performance Police vehicles as a advanced driver and authorised TPAC trained officer. I am authorised to carry taser, as well being Method of entry trained. I am also a BOF operator which allows me to trace vehicles giving direction of travel, patterns of behaviour as well as real time intelligence of criminal using the roads. I am also a Station Intoxoliser and lion hand intoximeter cascade trainer as well as being trained on the Unipar SL700 Speed device and the Body worn video (BWV).
I have been responsible for the setting up and running of several operations within a multi-agency setting engaging with VOSA, DVLA, Recovery agents, Customs and Excise Fuel team, Environmental Health as well as Dept of Work and Pensions.
I have been a consistent performer and my statistics and figures have always been in the top quartile of results. This can evidenced from my recorded crimes, arrests, STORM calls attended as well as my proactive drug seizures, drink drive, drug drive arrests and traffic related process.
This area of my work was recently rewarded with Carmarthenshire BSU Award by Superintendent and a Letter from ACC Parmenter for my work with a sophisticated online scam victim who lost her life savings,
I am now approaching the end of Policing career and am due to be retire from the Force on the 7th May 2024 age 55. I am
therefore seeking to move on to a new challenging environment
Area Supervisor Responsible for the administration of Static Guarding security sites, in the South Wales area, for a National
Security Company, Ensuring all sites had coverage on shift patterns, Attend any incidents to assist the on site guards, to
ensure their safety. Writing reports and statements in required for court proceedings, Was also a trainer for new personnel
in the Security Guard Role, This included subjects such as Induction to Security, First Aid, Fire and Law. Other responsibilities included collating on site Risk assessment's, and administration of Payroll on a weekly basis.
At First this role was a Part time basis around my University studies but later became full time.

1993-1994 RAF Mt Pleasant Falkland islands NCO in Charge of 38 Facility Admin MPA, The training of Airmen to perform
Ceremonial duties for the Burial of Argentine airmen who's aircraft was shot down over Pebble Island during the conflict. As well as training Airmen and women to perform Ceremonial duties at the Queens Birthday parade in Stanley. I was also liaison for the Combined services entertainment party during their visit to the Islands.
1995-1997 Posted to RAF StAthan in South Wales , As the NCO responsible for General Duties at the West Camp Guardroom, Prior to Options for change movement in the Ministry of Defence whereby the RAF Administration branch was disband and all personal made redundant.
