I am a operational Traffic officer, within the Dyfed Powys roads Policing Team, based in Cross hands, Carmarthenshire. my main task is to reduce crime by denying criminals the use of the roads, to be able to do this I have achieved a high level of skill and training, I have been a operational Police officer for the last 20 years.

I joined Dyfed Powys Police in September 2003 after attending initial officer training at Cwmbran Police training College, Since this time I have been a performing front line duties, firstly as a beat officer in the BCU, In both town main stations as well as rural section stations, and latterly as a Traffic officer in the RPU Unit.

I am currently trained to drive high performance Police vehicles as a advanced driver and authorised TPAC trained officer. I am authorised to carry taser, as well being Method of entry trained. I am also a BOF operator which allows me to trace vehicles giving direction of travel, patterns of behaviour as well as real time intelligence of criminal using the roads. I have been responsible for the setting up and running of several operations within a multi-agency setting engaging with VOSA, DVLA, Recovery agents, Customs and Excise Fuel team, Environmental Health as well as Dept of Work and Pensions.

I have been a consistent performer and my statistics and figures have always been in the top quartile of results. This can evidenced from my recorded crimes, arrests, STORM calls attended as well as my proactive drug seizures, drink drive, drug drive arrests and traffic related process.
This area of my work was recently rewarded with Carmarthenshire BSU Award by Superintendent and a Letter from ACC Parmenter for my work with a sophisticated online scam victim who lost her life savings,
