The Palatine Engraving Company Limited was acquired by Lasercomb Dies Limited, who paid for my relocation from Liverpool to Redditch. My skillsets are very versatile and I can cover many areas when required, as follows;

• Etching
• Finishing
• The use of hot and cold press machines
• Basic engineering
• Assembly of die boards final inspection
• On occasion, minimal use of CNC operations (Heidenhein Controls)

In 2008, I was promoted again to Shift Supervisor. I became more familiar with the different specifications and tolerances whilst operating other machinery. Beyond the duties carried out throughout my career at Palatine prior to this promotion, my duties were as followed;

• Overseeing day to day production of work through the factory; from customer services to dispatch
• Using flat bed presses for manufacturer of male and female parts
• Using flat bed skimming machines
• Became more familiar with drilling and tapping
• Using klinch nut machine used in conjunction with thin plate assembly for die carrying

In addition to the duties as Chemical Etcher, my role also included;

• Organising work flow, team's annual leave and stock levels
• Final inspections

Chemical etching - Magnesium and copper

• Preparing metal
• Etching to fine tolerances
• Finishing end result
