This HCA role requires assisting the sonographer by welcoming patients into the clinics, explaining the procedures and making them comfortable. Ensuring the clinic is kept clean and tidy and recording completed appointments on the computer system.

• Working in a small team to provide theatres with all equipment required for daily and weekly operations lists. This role required accuracy and good attention to detail, working in a fast paced environment.

• This was a self-employed role involving door to door canvassing on behalf of Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance. The role involved building a rapport with householders in a variety of neighbourhoods and demographics.

• Working as part of a team I was responsible for booking the delivery of medication to patients nationwide. This involved making telephone calls and sending emails to arrange suitable times for shipping and delivery.

• My duties included welcoming donors to the clinic, booking and changing appointments on the NHSBT online and phone systems, updating patient details, and observing patients after donation.

• This role required caring for patients in the recovery area after medical procedures. This involved monitoring their wellbeing, performing vital signs checks and collecting medication before discharge.

• This work involved home visits to assist vulnerable adults in the community to regain independence after being in hospital. Using initiative in sometimes challenging situations was essential with accurate reporting and recording of events.
