Summary

I have the ability to provide person-centred care for patients including ensuring their safety and being compassionate to each individual. I am clear in communication, have plenty of empathy and patience. I have interpersonal skills such as clarity, compassion, empathy, respect and trust.

I pay attention to detail, am a good team player, am a problem-solver, use evidence-based practice to better my work performance and have excellent organisation skills.

I am confident on working with children and adults as I have worked in different settings as a nursery assistant, primary school teacher with children. I have worked as a tutor for five years and taught GCSE English, Math, Science and French and health care assistant in a care home and at a hospital.

I have provided care such as teaching children history and science, learned about how to plan and structure a class. I have experience in preparing GCSE students for their summer exams through practicing past papers. I have 2 years experience working for Nurse Plus at a care home where I learned manual and handling such as using a hoist and recording the patient's feeding daily intake. I have learned how to manage a patient with dementia who is confused and forgets their family; always reassuring them they are coming back and distracting them through talking therapy.

I am writing to express my enthusiastic interest in the Nursing Associate position. My experience as a healthcare assistant has instilled in me a deep understanding of the challenges and rewards of working within a healthcare environment, and I am eager to leverage my skills and experience to support the nursing team and deliver high-quality care.

During my time at Royal Sussex County Hospital, I developed strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling me to build rapport with patients and their families. I am adept at explaining complex procedures in a clear and concise manner, and I am comfortable working collaboratively with healthcare professionals to ensure patient safety and comfort.

Furthermore, my experience in assisting with daily living activities, monitoring oxygen levels has provided me with a practical understanding of the nursing process.

I am a highly motivated and adaptable individual with a strong work ethic and a commitment to continuous learning. I am eager to expand my knowledge and skills in the field of nursing, and I am confident that I possess the qualities necessary to excel as a Nursing Associate. I am particularly drawn to the opportunity to work within a hospital setting and I am excited about the prospect of making a real difference in the lives of others.

I am a firm believer in the importance of teamwork and I am confident in my ability to contribute positively to a supportive and collaborative environment. I am keen to learn from experienced nurses and to contribute my own skills and knowledge to the team. I am confident that my dedication, compassion, and practical skills will make me a valuable asset to your team.
