I applied for this role when the cafe that I was working at had to close due to funding issues. This was a seasonal temporary role which ended in January. I am currently top of the list should I wish to return once the store picks up, however I am looking for a more permanent role.

  • Serving customers at the till and helping with their enquiries within the store
  • De branding and reducing prices on the stock and calculating the percentage decrease
  • Working in the warehouse

Cafe Assistant

I initially gained this role as a voluntary role as part of my Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award, however I was asked to stay and was awarded a certificate for Volunteering by Wrexham Council, having been nominated by the Operations Manager. My main duties in this role were as follows:

  • Taking customer orders and delivering and clearing away dishes
  • Operating the dishwasher and ensuring that my workspace was a clean and tidy and hygienic environment.
  • Some experience of using the till

YaB was a charity funded initiative which unfortunately closed down in September 2024 due to funding issues, hence my leaving this role.
