Summary

I am I self motivated, clinically organised & friendly individual with a passion for wanting to make a difference within my workplace and community. I have several years of work experience spanning from part time work, to working alongside executive & board level members of staff within my NHS trust. I am a reliable worker who can complete complex tasks under minimal supervision whilst being able to work well within a team if required. I enjoy creating strong rapports with different departments, external and internal stakeholders and customers.

I consider myself experienced with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Excel). Through College and University I have become very tech literate, learning lots of different types of software including Audio and Visual programmes. Whilst working within my current role, I implemented a new system called ‘Smartsheets’ which enabled our R&G Team, Maternity & Paediatric team to accurately monitor the progress of any active projects, these projects enabled staff to increase their productivity, workload and ultimately, improve their service from an administrative perspective.

I was invited to attend a ‘Smartsheet’ conference in London, where I created a report for my team with my findings and take aways from the meeting. This further increased my understanding of the system, and with this learning I implemented new changes to my work to increase efficiency, this included creating new workflows from scratch, creating actions from meetings and setting reminders for their completion.

Working as part of the mobilisation team at the BELONG arena in Preston, I worked with the Project Manager using JIRA software to track project progress to successful completion. I have also used the project management software TRELLO at my time at University.

Working at both GAME and BELONG, I am responsible for back office administration, including inputting of personal data, booking and confirming parties and insuring resources and outsourced services are ordered prior to bookings.

As a senior employee at GAME, I worked alongside the regional management teams in order to set goals for staff to improve sales at our store. Key Performance Indicators are set individually for staff to gain more confidence within their roles. I compiled information from team members which would then be reported to store managers. I have also arranged & attended hiring interviews, and have experience in holding both group and 1-2-1 interviews alongside management teams to hire the correct staff for the store.

Personal Assistant

Mersey and West Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS
Ormskirk, Merseyside
2023.01 - Current

My role within the Mersey & West Lancashire Teaching Hospitals Trust, is mainly to directly assist both the Divisional Director of Women's & Children's & Associate Director of Midwifery/Nursing & AHPs in their day to day duties. This includes managing tremendously busy inboxes & outlook calendars, organising meetings, communicating with internal & external stakeholders and setting up meetings. Other duties include administrating local & trust-wide maternity & governance meetings. This includes, requesting papers, creating agendas & updating contact groups for myself and on behalf of other staff, minuting meetings and distributing/cascading to the wider teams. Since my time here at Ormskirk Hospital, I have picked up extra meetings including covering administrative support for annual leave/sickness, and supporting other departments in meetings that are outside my day-to-day responsibilities. I also work closely with the onsite estates team to accommodate parking day passes for our external visitors.

To gather more experience within my role, I built a strong rapport with our Risk & Governance team & other departments such as Paediatrics & Neonates Operational Teams to prepare our teams for our CQC visit. This required me to work closely with all teams involved, to gather high level evidence in readiness for the visit. The trust has recently celebrated receiving a 'Good' status from the CQC.

This is extra work that I conducted through identifying where teams were struggling, and aided support whilst balancing my day-to-day PA duties.

Stock Management & Purchase Ledger

R & E Bamford
Leyland, Lancashire
2022.06 - Current

My role and responsibilities at R & E Bamfords are split between two jobs. My first role is within the Goods In/Purchasing Team. It is my job to communicate with buyers & stockists to purchase goods for the company. On a day to day basis its my main responsibility to liaise with the Sales team as well as the main purchasers and directors to gather an idea of the stock the business requires. I communicate with external stakeholders daily regarding price updates, delivery ETA's & report this information to staff or customers awaiting their orders.

The second half of my role within the company is maintaining the stock levels and ensuring that any items that the company sells is replenished, this role ties in fluently with my purchasing role, as I can see the process through from start to finish, and being the main point of contact for any member of the team who may have a query regarding the delivery of items. With this I also update Excel spreadsheets for the relevant teams, including sheets for our goods coming in, our Out of Stocks and Stock Control where members of the teams can see if an item has moved location, been allocated to a customer or if an item has been adjusted correctly. I also manually count stock that our system flags as ‘out of stock’ to ensure that the stock reads accurately.
