Summary

I am a student who has just finished my GCSE's, I am still waiting for my results. In my February mock I had passed all of my subjects and for my GCSE's I am expected to achieve grades 4-6. I took maths, science, English and art, I had to drop some of my subjects due to M.E. M.E is a condition that results in severe fatigue. Because of M.E I was not able to attend school full time from year 7-9, during this time I was studying at home when I was able to and had a private tutor who taught me English literature and language. I had also moved schools from 'Clayton Hall Academy' to 'The Orme academy' in year 7 due to me having to travel further to Clayton, resulting in my energy levels dropping. My fatigue and attendance had improved a lot from year 10-11, though I was still on a reduced time table.

Despite my drawbacks to learning and missing out on a lot of opportunities; such as going on school trips and just being able to go outside and experience life in general, I am still an enthusiastic student who is eager to grow and learn. I am ready to apply for this job in hopes to gain knowledge and practical experience. Not being able to indulge in the things peers my own age were able to has made me happy about pushing myself out of my comfort zone and learning new things. I have always been someone who works well as a team, though studying a lot on my own has conditioned me to work well independently. I love meeting and helping people and feel I will make a great asset to the customers and the company.

Since I was 2 I have been involved in dancing and preforming, I have had voice lessons as well as dance. I preformed with the 'Lord Mayors Charity Ball' at Keele Hall in 2019. I achieved distinctions with IDTA, for ballet and tap. I have always been a creative well-rounded person with an interest in singing and art; as well as dance. In the past I have also liked the idea of becoming an author, with my skills for English exceeding. Academically I have always shown promise and I am always eager to try new things. Since having M.E my practise in learning has been cut short, I have not been able to be as active in preforming, though with my symptoms of fatigue improving I was hoping to get back into that side of myself, this year I was lucky to be well enough to be involved with my dance schools' annual dance show at 'The Repertory Theatre'. I am inspired by drawing and creating, I aspire to be a tattoo artist and I am interested in perusing art at college A-level. Being trained well in preforming arts I feel this skill binds well with customer service since I am comfortable with meeting new people and pushing out of my comfort zone.
