Obstetrics Experience

• Triaging and assessing acutely unwell obstetric patients in the Obstetric Assessment Unit, with formulation of appropriate management plans.
• Independently performing basic caesarean sections, perineal repair and manual removal of placenta.
• Currently working towards independence in performing non-rotational assisted vaginal deliveries.
• Recognising, managing, and promptly escalating obstetric emergencies, including APH, PPH, sepsis, placental abruption, and cord prolapse.

• Proficient in insertion and removal of intrauterine devices.
• Performing viability scans in the Pregnancy Assessment Service (PAS) clinic.
• Conducting presentation scans and intrapartum fetal position scans.
• Independently performing vulval biopsies and endometrial biopsies.
• Independently reviewing patients in gynaecology outpatient clinics.
• Basic proficiency in diagnostic hysteroscopy.

Emergency Medicine

• Assessed, examined, and managed a wide range of acute presentations in the Emergency Department.
• Gained exposure to chest drain insertion, nerve blocks, and point-of-care ultrasound.
• First-point assessment of acute gynaecology cases, including speculum and HVS examinations in emergency settings.

General Practice

Obstetrics & Gynaecology
