Compassionate individual with a strong health care background since 2022 having relocated to UK. Joining the health fraternity as a Community HCA gave me deeper appreciation and expertise in the vast conditions within adult health and social care. In this my first role, l was exposed to different aspects of care from service delivery through aiding with daily activities like personal care, food preparation, medication administration, moving and handling, reporting and record keeping. In 2022, l was promoted to be a Team leader following satisfactory work performance and exhibiting leadership skills in my line of work. This role allowed me to broaden my knowledge in health considerably in areas of administration, planning, rota preparations, assessing and drawing up person centered care plans, raising up safeguarding concerns, etc. Whilst in this role, l went through so much benefitiary trainings that allowed me to understand the policy frameworks behind healthcare and service provision.
In my current role with the NHS, which l started in 2024, my roles and duties have broadened. This comes as a great challenge that is well nurturing towards my growing career of being in the health care sector. Due to my capabilities, am being assigned to handle more clinical duties that require precision, confidence and good application of knowledge.

- CBG checks and daily insulin administration as per DTAs, reporting and escalating to relevant disciplinaries.
- observing and monitoring patients vitals (NEWS2) for any concerning significant changes.
- attending to routine and emergency blocked catheterisation.
- simple and complex wound dressing and monitoring.
- Upper and lower limb care to do with oedema, eczema, ulcers, DVT,etc.
- incontinence assessment and managent.
