Work History

Babysitter

Self employed
Liss, Hampshire
06.2021 - Current

For more than three years now I have been babysitting for friends and family, working with over 10 children over that time. I enjoy working with children and get along well with them so the work has always been enjoyable. I will often read or play games with them, prepare meals, and take them on outings, this has taught me how to look after and better understand children whilst remaining bubbly and patient.

crew member

MacDonalds
Liphook, Hampshire
07.2023 - 09.2024

Whilst I went into working as a crew member with fairly low expectations, the role pleasantly and routinely surprised me with the number of skills I was made to learn during my time there.

  • I learned how to manage multiple tasks whilst working in a fast-paced often stressful environment, without losing my composure.
  • It Trained me in food safety and hygiene practices.
  • I learned how to work efficiently as a part of a team.
  • I often had to do boring and repetitious tasks that made me learn how to deal with, and work through high levels of boredom

However most importantly to me, I learned how to interact with customers in a friendly, helpful and professional way, allowing me to better address their questions and complaints

Manual labour

Man and van
Liss, Hampshire
06.2021 - 04.2023

In this role, I had to move valuable items of furniture safely and efficiently as well as help empty containers whilst often working long shifts (my longest day being 11 hours.) I also had to maintain physical fitness for manual labour and moving heavy items and persevere even as I started to get tired and keep pushing forwards.

Assistant

06.2021 - 08.2021

I worked at ET Games - an ethical board games manufacturer, as a summer job after secondary school. the job involved fixing broken games, helping send emails, and confirming and cataloguing orders. it was my first job and taught me all of the basic skills about being in a work environment.
