Summary

I am a dedicated and conscientious maths tutor, teaching onsite and in the community. I currently teach functional skills maths at all levels, from entry level 2 up to level 2, pre-GCSE (preparation to GCSE) and GCSE maths. Being a self-motivated and result driven individual, I am patient and professional, knowing how and when to maintain professional boundaries while ensuring that learning is taking place in a safe and conducive environment. I am flexible and can adapt to changes in timetable and/or duties as and when required. I work well and professionally under pressure. I am a good team player with the ability to work well individually. I also private tutor children from year 5 up to year 10, helping them achieve their 11+ and GCSEs. While I love teaching and imparting knowledge and helping learners/pupils reach their potential, I am looking to broaden my skills. I currently prepare assessments; initial, diagnostic and progressive assessments, keeping track of learners' progress. I believe that a child or adult learns better when they are fully engaged and when the topic is made relevant. All learners are different and learn at a different rate/ability. As a result, I have continued to improve on my digital skills, using several digital tools to enhance and improve learning, encouraging flipped learning and helping the learner take charge of their learning. This also ensures that every learning style is engaged. I am currently an Affiliate member of the Society for Education and Training and hope to complete and achieve the QTLS status by early next year. I am also an examiner with Pearson.

I am happy to complete any necessary professional training to improve my productivity.
