- Whilst working for this family friend, I provided assistance in general house hold cleaning and one to one supervision. During my experience in this job, I gained vital skills such as being easy to communicate and being patient with people, which can be applied in a variety of different work places. Furthermore, during the time period of working with the elderly I enjoyed helping those in need of assistance and aiding in all aspects of daily living. The role mainly consisted of me cooking and cleaning for those who struggle doing simple task by themselves. In addition, whilst in this job i had to actively listen to their request,confirming my full understanding before addressing concerns.
- Another experience other than helping the elderly that gave me numerous skill is in school I was apart of the school council. which meant i had to listen to all of my peers feedback and what they wanted changing to then take action in solving certain issues. This made me gain confidence to speak up for those who didn't have voice in that specific social setting.
