Duties at Clarendon are parallel to those of Highshore (below).
With the additional duties of:
- EVAC chair operator and staff trainer.
- Working as a support for students who are transferring from school to a higher education setting. Duties involve but are not limited to supervising college visits, giving counsel on decisions, and supporting the student with appropriate methods.
Theatre Operations
As a Front of House Usher, I provided exceptional customer service and ensured a smooth operational flow before, during, and after performances. My responsibilities encompassed:
Patron Assistance: Welcoming guests, guiding them to their seats, and assisting with any inquiries or special requirements to ensure their comfort and satisfaction.
Ticketing and Entry: Checking tickets for validity, scanning them for entry, and managing any ticketing issues or discrepancies that may arise.
Crowd Control: Ensuring orderly entry and exit of patrons, managing queues during peak times, and maintaining a safe and organised environment within the theatre premises.
Venue Presentation: Monitoring the cleanliness and presentation of the front-of-house areas, including lobbies, restrooms, and seating areas, to uphold the theatre's standards of excellence.
Emergency Response: Being prepared to assist in emergency situations by guiding patrons to safety, implementing evacuation procedures, and liaising with theatre management and security personnel as required.
Sales and Promotions: Promoting theatre merchandise, programs, and concessions to enhance the patron experience and contribute to revenue generation.
Facilitated the safe play and socialisation of children with SEND in a structured holiday programme.
