I currently work as a Light Motor Vehicle Technician at the Scarborough branch of Stoneacre Motor Group. I primarily work on Vauxhall vehicles, however my knowledge does range across a variety of franchises. My daily tasks include:

• Fitting and replacing engines, understanding and following manufacturers instructions.
• Improving vehicle performance by conducting thorough diagnostic tests.
• Performing routine maintenance tasks for enhanced vehicle longevity.
• Ensuring customer satisfaction with timely and efficient service provision.
• Carrying out complex repairs to restore vehicle functionality.
• Maintaining a clean and organised workspace, promoting safety and efficiency.
• Delivering excellent customer service by explaining technical issues in simple language.
• Keeping up-to-date with my knowledge of modern vehicle technologies to improve repair strategies.
• Assist colleagues with challenging mechanical problems, improving team productivity.
• Conducting MOT testing to guarantee roadworthiness of vehicles.
• Utilise specialised tools and equipment effectively, achieving precision in repairs.
• Attending regular training sessions to enhance skill set and industry knowledge.
• Identifying potential future issues during servicing, preventing costly breakdowns or repairs.

From leaving school I joined a local garage as an apprentice, this was a Vauxhall Apprenticeship through the Institute of Motor Industry. I completed exams at Nottingham College, which I passed and obtained my Level 3 qualification.
