I am a dedicated and enthusiastic individual with a strong passion for horticulture and extensive experience working in outdoor environments. I developed my skills in a retail garden centre before becoming a self-employed gardener and eventually working on a large private estate.
At Bridehall, I designed new garden areas and planting schemes, sourced bedding plants for displays, and ensured that new plantings complemented the existing landscape.
I also organised and delivered the estate's annual open days in support of the British Heart Foundation, answering visitors' questions about the gardens and wider estate.
As a confident and sociable person, engaging with garden visitors is something I enjoy and handle with ease.
I thrive in team settings but am equally motivated to work independently.
I’m passionate about growing my own vegetables, having designed and built my own garden, and I have a strong interest in plant propagation. Having visited the Lost Gardens of Heligan many times as both a holidaymaker and now as a resident of the St Austell area, I would be thrilled at the opportunity to return to a horticultural role in such an inspiring place.
