I have 5 years experience working at St Michaels Primary school. I have predominantly been in year two and reception classes within this time. During my time in this current role I have become a netball coach alongside another teaching assistant. We have been involved in coaching and running tournaments for pupils in year 5 and 6. I currently run a homework club for pupils in year 3-6 once a week. I have a 1:1 pupil with autism and PDA currently and have developed positive parent teacher relationship with their parents. Daily I prepare the classroom for the teacher and assist on a table with 6 pupils of lower ability which I really enjoy. I promote good reading practise and read with the children in my class weekly to support and developed their reading and knowledge. I also support in year one twice a week for their reading programme Little Wandle.
