*The Performance Of UK Banks During The Covid-19 Pandemic*

- The study sought to investigate the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the performance
of UK banks and to determine how banks have responded to the crisis. The study found that;
the financial health of UK banks including profitability, liquidity, and asset quality was
adversely affected after the onset of the pandemic, the measures taken by UK banks in response
to the pandemic included loan forbearance programs and cost-cutting measures, there were
potential longer-term impacts of the pandemic on the UK banking industry regarding changes
in consumer behavior and regulatory responses respectively and recommend strategies
including disability-inclusive COVID-19 response for banks, funding restructuring and
digitizing financial services and so on. However, due to limitations, the study recommended
quantitative study on the COVID-19 pandemic on the performance of UK banks.
