I have worked within this nursing home for over 3 years and have gained amazing knowledge and skills. I am excited to learn from the brilliant staff. As I have been studying nursing I have gained a lot of new and Important skills A big skill I have gained in communication I have gained a lot of clinical skills and feel more confident As I have been working as a care assistant for over 3 years I have been able to understand the Importance of person centred care I know how to care for patients ensuring that dignity, privacy and safety is upheld I am able to work as an individual and can work as part of an effective team I feel confident talking to other health care professionals and am able to delegate roles appropriately From working in a nursing home and within the hospital I understand the importance of confidentiality and safeguarding vulnerable adults During the pandemic I worked in a covid ward on placement, this experience taught me the importance of infection control I feel like all my experiences have helped to prepare myself for my future role as a registered nurse
