April 2022 | Volunteer | Wild Futures, The Monkey Sanctuary, Cornwall
Worked with a team to prepare meals, create enrichment, clean enclosures, and assist with maintenance tasks, ensuring high welfare standards for resident monkeys.


  • 2 weeks work experience on a dementia ward at Oasis Care Home as part of my health and social care course. Here I assisted the staff by completing minor tasks such as feeding and spending time with the residents.
  • I volunteered on a farm where I helped the farmer do his daily rounds feeding the animals and checking their health.
  • I have undertaken a placement at Willow Child Care Centre where I spent one day a week with various age groups of young children.
  • I have been a student ambassador and represented the college in several events and media coverage productions.
  • In school I was a peer mediator and have training in this area.
  • I have taken part in Race 4 Life and raised money for charity.
