Misha Palmer

Following a successful and rewarding career in fashion spanning 10 years, I am now studying Media & Communications BA (hons) at Goldsmiths University of London, where I have gained experience in directing, producing and editing short films. I am excited to delve into a new challenge and to apply my unique, creative background to a position in the media industries.

Producing - As part of my degree I produced a short documentary named 'Love Spell, Go To Hell'

Directing - I made my directorial debut in 2023 with dark drama 'Beau Idéal' followed by feminist music documentary 'Fortissimo' in 2024

Editing - I was lead editor on the above projects, using Avid Media Composer

Collaborating - I was the subject of BBC Scotland documentary 'In My Mind' in collaboration with Mental Health Foundation

Live Q&A - Following the screening of BBC Scotland film 'In My Mind', a Q&A was held between myself, a representative from Mental Health Foundation and a live audience. I spoke eloquently and clearly about mental health awareness and the role of media and social media in the fight against stigma.

THE FILE - I have written a think piece about the impact that modelling at such a young age had on my self-esteem and the self-esteem of those who perceived my youth as the beauty standard. The piece will be published on THE FILE this summer.

Mental Health Foundation - I was an ambassador for this mental health charity and took part in many of their social media campaigns. I would curate social media posts, writing on different themes at their request.
