Studying Engineering, and Design & Technology has built a strong understanding of technical principles and problem solving. Commitment to the subject was recognised with Engineering Student of the year award.

Dedication is also shown through volunteering at open evenings, where projects are demonstrated and younger students are encouraged to take up Engineering. These experiences have developed confidence, teamwork and communication skills.

Work experience placement at Siemens provided valuable insight into how the shop floor and machinery operate, as well as the chance to meet skilled employees who inspired a desire for a career at Siemens.
