Having been a competitive swimmer until the age of 18 training 5 mornings before school and 5 evenings after school for up to 2.5 hours per session as well as gym sessions I decided to put my experience to good use and became a qualified swimming teacher. Over the years it has given me great satisfaction to work with both children and adults to overcome their fears. I am a committed hard working individual who does their best in everything they do. I have worked for the same company for over 31 years in various roles, swimming teacher, school swimming teacher and pool coordinator. I have liaised with parents, reception staff, admin assistant, teachers, duty officers and the borough coordinator. I have held parent consultations with regards to progress, monitor progress and keep accurate up to date records as well as organise staff cover for sickness and holidays.
Prior to my employment with Stockport Council/Life Leisure I worked for various employers dealing with customers on a daily basis between 1987 and 1994. This was in the hospitality industry. My employment in this industry was at hotels and a nightclub. These locations were extremely busy and required me to stay calm, think of my feet and work in a fast paced environment.
