The team leader part of my role at BWTS involved the upkeep and maintenance of all equipment and managing and coordinating teams of arborists to complete jobs and meet deadlines, both safely and efficiently whilst complying with all regulations, legislations, British standards and best practices . The role also involved liaising and coordinating with many different groups of people such as third party contractors, commercial, domestic clients and members of the public wether this was to problem solve or handling disputes so work could continue or amendments to method statements.

The climbing aspect of my role involved me undertaking various tree works such as reductions, pruning, Fells, Section Fells, Technical dismantles assisted by cranes, commercial site clearances working alongside heavy forestry equipment and hedge cutting. The number one priority whilst undertaking these works was the safety of myself, my colleges and any civilians.
