Waitress and Bartender

John and Lynn- Home Sweet Home
Berrick Salome, Benson, Oxfordshire
2020.02 - 2020.03

Similar to The Perch and Pike.

Our team was a little smaller at Home Sweet Home (HSH). (about 10 waitresses/waiters). The restaurant was larger than The Perch and Pike, as they had about 5 different parts of the restaurant, intended for use at different times of the day, different mood/lighting and special events too.

For example, we had the luxury of a quirky 'Barrel table' for two customers to sit inside the barrel seats by a beautiful open window. This was great for a sunny day. Many regulars often came back to sit at this table.

We would serve about 100 covers on a Sunday at HSH. Week day lunchtimes were fairly busy; on average 50 covers. It wasn't too busy during the week day evenings. I was always in love with the food here- it was constantly very creatively presented and every flavor was well thought out. The chefs were fantastic.
