I managed shifts at one of the busiest spots in Birmingham’s nightlife district. My job was to keep the restaurant running smoothly when the street was at its loudest, handling everything from quick turnovers to large groups and late-night diners.

• High-Volume Leadership: Managed the dining room during peak "Broad Street" hours. I kept the team focused and the service fast, even when the restaurant was at full capacity.
• Crowd Control: I was the point person for managing large bookings and walk-ins, making sure guests were seated quickly and the atmosphere stayed positive and controlled.
• Kitchen-to-Floor Link: Acted as the bridge between the kitchen and the waiters. In a busy balti house, timing is everything—I made sure the food hit the table hot while the drinks kept flowing.
• Daily Cash Management: Handled the end-of-shift cashing up, till reports, and making sure the "books" balanced after a heavy night of trading.
• Customer Relations: Handled a diverse range of customers, from city professionals to weekend tourists, ensuring everyone got great service regardless of how busy we were.

• Peak Hour Efficiency: Successfully managed some of the busiest shifts of the week (Friday/Saturday nights) without letting service standards slip.
• Team Reliability: Stepped in and immediately took pressure off the owners by taking full responsibility for the floor and staff during high-stress periods.

I didn't just run the shifts, I ran the business. From the daily kitchen hustle to the long-term growth of the branch, I handled every moving part. I was the point person for marketing, supply chain, and business development, ensuring the shop stayed profitable and popular.

• Business Development & Marketing: I took charge of getting the word out. I ran the local marketing efforts to bring in new regulars and worked on ways to grow the "Taste Factory" brand within the Guildford community.
• Full Supply Chain & Inventory: I owned the pantry. I sourced food supplies, negotiated with vendors, and kept a tight grip on inventory to make sure we were always stocked without overspending or wasting food.
• Logistics & Delivery Tech: I managed the complex side of delivery logistics. This meant optimizing our presence on multiple apps (Deliveroo, UberEats, etc.) and making sure the "kitchen-to-door" process was as fast as possible.
• Operational Oversight: I was responsible for the "big picture"—hiring staff, setting the standards for food prep (from the charcoal grills to the burgers), and making sure the shop hit its financial targets.
• Problem Solving: Whether it was a tech issue with the ordering system or a supplier letting us down, I was the one who fixed it on the fly to keep the doors open and the food moving.
• End-to-End Management: Successfully balanced the "admin" side (marketing and ordering) with the "action" side (running the floor) during the peak summer months.
• Growth: Spearheaded new ways to attract local customers, helping the business expand its reach beyond just the usual walk-ins.
