Worked at an overnight camp in the USA for 8 weeks as a tennis coach. When not on the courts I was responsible for, and lived in, a cabin of six 12-year-old children.
Running the tennis programme required constant teamwork as well as excellent interpersonal skills, liaising with fellow counsellors and camp directors to plan and coach sessions.
Developed my leadership skills with the children under my supervision around the clock, this demanded a high work ethic and strong communication to deal with difficult situations that arose.
