Both a dedicated student and a hardworking athlete, I excel in managing my time effectively in order to excel in whatever I do. Through this, I was able to maintain both my great achievements within my education, and continue to achieve more as an athlete. Furthermore, I have achieved multiple awards outside of just my academic abilities, but also for my role as a respectful, hardworking student in my school (ranging from Head of Lower School Awards in Year 8 to Student Achievement Manager Awards in Year 11)
Additionally, I am an extremely open person, both socially and towards challenges. During any moment, I am willing to assist all teammates, colleagues, and fellow pupils. And of course, receive any criticism and therefore improve myself.
Moreover, I am always willing to go the next step to improve, wether that be undergoing work experience under large financial institutions such as AVIVA UK in order to improve my UCAS personal statement earlier than my competitors, or simply waking up earlier than others to train longer than my peers in order to achieve better results. On the same page, I always come prepared to my given situation, researching on the event to boost my confidence and knowledge and thus achieve greater, and training intensely before a meet so I can compete at the best of my ability.
Further into my background, I am a Chinese person born in South Africa that has moved to the UK, and moved cities twice within the UK. Alone, this may sound rather boring. However, to me, I believe this has proven to myself my own ability to adapt to my surroundings since a young age. I have had fit in and make new friends each time I moved, adapt to new education systems as I changed from the South African Education System to the UK Education System (Skipping a whole year! I changed from Grade 2 instantly to Year 3, making me adjust and cover for a whole year of important fundamental education). But, making new friends each time was a great challenge, yet I was able to understand the cultures of each different city and country, fit in, and thrive.
