Hobbies and Interests
- A major dedication of mine is Basketball. Recently I went to America to play basketball where I went through an intense training regime which improved my ability to play basketball.
- I was at this programme for four months where I would undergo training for basketball 3 times a day and we would regularly go on team runs.
- I often go on 5k runs, to maintain good cardiovascular health
- As an athlete, I have come to recognise the importance of nutrition, this has driven me to learn how to cook healthier food choices.
- At home I frequently cook various dishes for my large family, regularly trying new recipes to broaden my skill set.
Additional Information
- During my time in Sixth form in year 12 the A level Biology and Chemistry students went on a field trip to a GSK facility where we were taken on a tour around the building and saw different departments of research and how they conducted research and the overall facilities they had. This piqued my interest as I was always fascinated with the research element of biology in addition this trip also helped me understand some A level content specifically in genetics and the research element of Biology. These skills I gained from this trip allowed me to pass my practical exam for A level biology where we would be doing many different Lab experiments, with different apparatus.
