Matthew Brown

Starting in August 2017, I was employed as a warehouse/driver in the Security distribution trade at Enterprise Security Distribution, more recently changing our name to Fortus. I quickly showed I was quick thinking and pro-active and showed I could lead by example and was promoted to Warehouse manager position. I also took responsibility for faulty returns quickly learning about warranty dates on goods and liaising daily with manufacturers.

After 2 years I was promoted to Internal Sales which is my current position held, I have a great relationship with customers and try to carry out duties to the best of my ability.

My first full time employment began at Autokleen Ltd. Autokleen were the leading company for supporting with vehicle preparation for all major car manufacturers in the UK and Europe the largest being Jaguar/Land Rover.

My Job initially was Warehouse based, supplying car cleaning chemicals and materials for the preparation of cars for new car launches. My role included the mixing of car cleaning chemicals, testing of equipment such as Jet Washers and Vacuum cleaners and PAT testing. I was also responsible for the COSHH paperwork which was required for Health and safety on site with PPE also supplied. I implemented my own equipment log keeping track of the location of all equipment.

I moved into a more office based role towards the end of my tenure but due to a change in company Logistics the Birmingham office/unit was closed and re-located back to Belfast. I was asked to continue but with no clear vision I joined my next Job with Fortus
