In my current role at FaultFixers, I’m responsible for the ongoing development and maintenance of our React-based web application using TypeScript, alongside two flagship mobile apps built in React Native (one deployed as a PWA). I’ve championed quality by introducing Jest for unit testing and Detox and Cypress for end-to-end testing across all codebases, then fully automated these suites within our CI/CD pipelines—dramatically reducing manual testing steps and surfacing regressions earlier. Alongside typical feature work and bug fixes, I collaborate closely with product and design teams to ensure performant, scalable releases.

• In this role, I co-founded a venture-backed FinTech startup called Ripples, initially known as Roundups. Our primary product was a fundraising app designed for the third sector. I was responsible for overseeing full-stack development and implementing innovative open banking technologies. This app was developed using React Native, Expo, and Python Django.
• We subsequently launched a second product, CharityBI, which addressed a common challenge for charities – data management. CharityBI served as an integration platform that automated the extraction, cleansing, and unification of supporter data. My responsibilities encompassed full-stack development, working closely with our data engineer. The platform was built on the Azure cloud platform, making use of PySpark with Databricks, and a NextJS web application with Node.js as the backend.

• During my tenure at iwoca, a FinTech company specialising in business loans, I played a pivotal role in UI and UX development for their marketing site. Leveraging the Gatsby Framework and GraphQL with Contentful, we streamlined content management for the marketing team. Additionally, I contributed to the development of their core finance web application, which was built on React and used Redux for state management, with a Django backend. This project maintained 100% test coverage, which was a key aspect of our development process.
