As a Senior Journalist at the BBC, I have covered major global events, from the U.S. presidential election to the FIFA World Cup Final, delivering trusted content across flagship programmes such as the BBC Six and Ten O’Clock News, BBC Sport, and BBC Breakfast.

Adopting a multi-platform approach, I create content tailored for TV, radio, online, and social media, with equal confidence in delivering live reports or producing digital-first stories.

Fully equipped with an HD video camera and edit-ready laptop, I operate as a self-shooting journalist, enabling fast turnaround, editorial flexibility, and the ability to embed myself fully in a story wherever it’s happening.

In this role, I managed high-impact events and led communications efforts to promote the charity’s mission — championing inclusion through tall ship sailing experiences for people of all abilities.

I crafted compelling press releases and storytelling campaigns that centred the voices of beneficiaries, driving public engagement and media interest. With the charity operating two uniquely accessible tall ships and facing annual costs in the millions, I played a key role in securing vital funding to keep the vessels sailing and the mission alive.
