Further developed independent clinical decision-making skills and management of acute and chronic conditions within primary care. Regularly undertook on-call duties and led weekly care home ward rounds, enhancing skills in complex elderly care, palliative medicine and multidisciplinary working.

Conducted independent consultations for patients with acute and chronic medical conditions in primary care, including assessment, management and safety netting. I developed skills in continuity of care, preventative medicine and multidisciplinary working within the community.

• Paediatrics

Assessed and managed acutely unwell children in IP settings. I worked within the MDT to develop management plans and escalate concerns appropriately. I also reviewed patients in OP clinics for longer term follow up and management.

• Emergency Medicine

Assessed and managed a wide range of acute presentations in a fast-paced emergency department, including initial investigations and treatment. I further developed my prioritisation skills, my clinical decision-making skills and my ability to work under pressure, independently and in a team

• General Medicine (Geriatrics)

Managed elderly patients with complex medical and social needs on acute geriatric wards. I also covered medical on-call shifts, dealing with acute admissions and learning how to prioritise sick patients.
