

I am dedicated second year Law student seeking a placement within the legal sector where I can apply my academic knowledge while learning from experienced professionals. I am a hardworking individual with strong communication, organisational and leadership skills and I thrive in a collaborative team environment. I bring excellent attention to detail, a strong work ethic and a genuine commitment to developing my skills and professionalism. I am very eager to contribute meaningfully to a legal team while continuing to grow into a more capable and advanced Law Student.
My duties include operating tills, counting money, serving the public, stocking shelves, cleaning duties, frequent Post Office Duties.
Serving food at various functions, clearing tables and workspaces, communicating with the public in an appropriate manner, preparing food, setting tables.
During my summer vacations I have been working as a litigation assistant in the engineering firm of McBride McAleer. This entailed attending dwellings effected by defective concrete blocks.
I underwent a days work experience with Michael, an experienced solicitor and co-owner of the company where he gave me a valuable insight into the work life of a solicitor in a local practice. I visited the Magistrates Court where I listened and took notes of cases which were being heard.
My duties include taking orders, serving food, clearing tables, serving drinks, general cleaning duties, setting tables, taking phone bookings, communicating with the general public.
Communication (Verbal and Written):
Excellent communication skills which are evident when dealing with challenging customers regularly
Advised and assist customers daily, tailoring explanations to different needs and abilities
Liasing with staff members, lecturers and fellow collegues regarding coursework, deadlines or general queries

Illustrated by my ability to consistently meet deadlines and achieve high grades in my work while also having a part time job and additional responsibilities
Team Work:
Developing team work skills through my roles in retail and previous job responsibilities in hospitality to achieve challenging targets and maintain a reputation and success of the businesses
Working in groups or pairs to gather information for presentations and assignments for course modules and this involved arranging a time and date to meet while also delegating roles and responsibilities for certain work
I have completed my Speech and Drama Exams from Grade 1-8 which has strengthened by advocacy, presentation and interpersonal communication skills. These grades have enhanced my ability to engage and persuade a variety of audiences and I am confident when communicating with and speaking to large groups of people- abilities that translate directly to effective client communication, courtroom advocacy and teamwork within a legal environment.
I have volunteered in many summer camps and as part of my local GAA club where I lead and manage a group of young people. My years of leadership with Dromantine Summer Camp and Edmund Rice Camps has helped me appreciate the value of working within a team environment to reach a common goal. This has developed my ability to manage teams, communicate clearly and make decisions under pressure. Guiding and managing young teenagers requires patience adaptability and strong leadership qualities- skills which are essential within the legal field.
Throughout my life I have played a variety of sports. Within my Club GAA team I have developed a strong sense of the importance of team work, resilience and mental strength. Sport has helped me develop discipline, improve my communication skills and stay committed to long term goals.
