  • Skiing - I have been skiing since I was four years old and usually spend at least one week skiing each year. I have skied in a variety of European resorts, including Méribel, Courchevel, Samoëns, Tignes and Morzine/Avoriaz. My family previously owned a property in Samoëns and now has a place in Morzine, meaning I have spent a significant amount of time in the Alps and am very familiar with resort life. During university, I also spent several winter holidays in ski resorts with friends, giving me a good understanding of the social side of resort life as well as the importance of being organised, responsible, and considerate of others in a shared environment. This experience has given me a strong appreciation of the hospitality, organisation, and guest care that contribute to a successful ski holiday, as well as a good understanding of the role of a chalet host.
  • Cooking - I have a keen interest in cooking and hospitality, having recently completed the Orchards Cookery Chalet Cooks Course. I enjoy preparing a variety of meals and experimenting with new recipes and cuisines. Through cooking for family and friends, as well as my training, I have developed strong organisational skills, time management, and attention to detail. I particularly enjoy the challenge of planning and preparing high-quality meals while ensuring everything is delivered efficiently and to a high standard. These skills would transfer well to a chalet host role, where creating an enjoyable dining experience is an important part of the guest experience.
  • Travelling - I have been lucky enough to travel and experience many different cultures, recently travelling round South East Asia which allowed me to take charge in planning trips, organising itineraries, budgets and accommodation.
  • Art - As an Art History graduate, I have a keen interest in art, culture, and travel. I gained work experience at the Mercer Art Gallery during my GCSEs and enjoy visiting galleries and museums when travelling. My studies have developed my creativity, attention to detail, and ability to engage with people from a wide range of backgrounds.
